The list of posts given in Mr. MacDougall's letter to Colonel Taylor at (1) is intended as a guide to the vacancies which there will be for A.C.I. candidates. No action is required on this.

(2). Mr. MacDougall asked me to take no action on his minute of the 22nd January. is minuting to us again about the position of Messrs. Egg and Mackenzie. (See minute on 54144/3A). As Mr. MacDougall says C.A.4. had no knowledge of this alleged pronouncement on the part of the ther Director..
